After two decades of civil litigation work and two more decades directly handling and managing the handling of title insurance claims; Warren “Rip” Robinson decided to retire but could not stay away from title for long. After receiving requests from former colleagues and counsel for assistance and opinions, Rip decided to form WR Title Consulting to provide the types of services that were being requested. WR Title Consulting now provides title claim consulting and expert services to title insurance underwriters and counsel.

Rip Robinson brings 20 years of trial litigation experience and another 20 years of hands-on claims handling experience to his work as a title insurance claims expert. Experience
Warren “Rip” Robinson is the principal of WR Title Consulting.
Before “retiring” in October of 2023, Rip practiced law in Colorado for more than 40 years. After 20 years in private practice handling civil litigation matters on behalf of private clients, including title insurance agents, title insurance underwriters and their insureds, Rip accepted a position as in-house Claims Counsel for United General Title Insurance Company and became their Chief Claims Counsel in 2004.
When United General Title Insurance was purchased by First American Title Insurance Company, Rip transitioned to a Regional Claims Manager for First American and became the Claims Center Director for First American in 2008. As a Central Claims Center Director, Rip managed a staff of 32 claims professionals handling, at any one time, more than 4000 claims in 21 states.
